This month's employee spotlight features Andres Carrizo, our PetroMar Panama Operations Manager based in Panama City, Panama. Born and raised in Puerto Armuelles, Panama—a hub for the Chiquita Brand Co. and the PetroTerminals of Panama—Andres developed a passion for the sea and ships early on. Inspired by his maritime surroundings and proximity to the Panama Canal, he pursued a career in the maritime industry, starting with his education at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, NY). With 25 years of experience in Marine Consulting and Loss Control, Andres has built a fulfilling career that’s taken him around the world to oversee tanker and terminal operations. Outside of work, Andres enjoys music appreciation, traveling, and sightseeing. He’s an active member of the Local Chamber of Commerce, Kings Point Alumni Chapter of Panama, and Panama Maritime Chamber, and he’s a former member of the 20-30 Club. We are lucky to have Andres on our team and look forward to a long future together.
